ThoughtWorks training is for all new ThoughtWorkers. Recent Graduates attend ThoughtWorks University to gain a full versing in all things ThoughtWorks, but also to develop consultancy skills and understanding of real-world situations faced in client scenarios. Immersion is our programme for experienced hires, which is designed to introduce experts in their fields to the way ThoughtWorks works, our history and culture.
What is Immersion? A glorious, truly ThoughtWorks-style introduction to the company. Zipped off to India, from wherever in the world you join ThoughtWorks, you will be initiated into the mysterious world of everything ThoughtWorks - acronyms, games, hotdogs, and history - all will become clear as you journey through the lifecycle of a client engagement, and much more.
Spending 2 weeks with a group of new ThoughtWorkers from all walks of life and all roles, you will come away with a global group of friends, an interactive overview of what we do here and how it came about - as well as having had the opportunity to learn from yourself and from others - by bringing your experiences to bear in the activities of the course.
Why train experienced people?
With all new employees being 'immersed'
ThoughtWorkers develop a shared understanding and vocabulary. The course is as much about history and culture,
as working practices, so it means everyone starts off on the same page.
What to expect
Work hard, play hard. The course has
been designed without need for prior learning, its content is not
technical. Everyone is involved in every session, so there will be some
where you are an expert, and some where you need to be ready to be a complete beginner.
