J2EE Developer

Responsibilities

Will work on bespoke-designed, multi-tier, projects that utilize large scale n-tiered object oriented (OO) technologies, such as J2EE and/ or .NET technologies and iterative and Agile Methodologies. Will work on the creation and management of software product/project features, functionality, and specifications for client projects; contribute to every stage in the software solution life cycle, from requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, release and maintenance; will coach development teams in the areas of Agile adoption and the application of software engineering best practices, such as object-oriented design patterns, pair-programming, refactoring and test-driven development. Will integrate with and utilize Open Source Software (OSS) in the development of projects. 80% travel throughout the US required. This is a full time (40 hrs. per week) position. Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field or foreign equivalent, plus three months of experience as a Software Developer and/ or Lead Designer and /or Software Engineer. Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five years of progressive experience in the position offered or in the related position of Software Developer/and or Software Engineer and/or Lead Designer. Experience must include utilization of all phases of the software development lifecycle on J2EE applications or similar n-tier, distributed architectures, including integration with and utilization of Open Source Software.
