an Associate General Counsel in Chicago

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to become part of our global legal department. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your legal expertise and analytical skills while working closely with senior delivery and sales people to help shape the future of our business.

We need someone who can draft and negotiate consulting agreements, provide business advice in a legal context; recognise potential legal problems and prevent escalation at an early stage; obtain and manage relationships with outside counsel; address compliance issues; and handle various other matters which may arise.

We have a flat organisation in which people are encouraged to contribute outside the sphere implied by their title. You may critique a sales presentation one minute and have your legal judgment second-guessed by a programmer the next. We pride ourselves on providing flexible career paths rather than clearly defined roles, and you will therefore be encouraged to expand your reach and influence within the company as you wish.

• 2-6 years legal experience
• Contract drafting and negotiation experience
• Ability to communicate with and earn confidence of business people
• Strong analytical skills
