Graduate Selection Process - ThoughtWorks India

Graduate hiring is special for us. We get excited about the levels of energy and passion that you bring and we look for students with vision who we can help grow into amazing consultants. Each of our countries has a slightly different hiring process but the end results are the same: amazing people that we are thrilled to have join our team.

Here in India we do visit some campuses but are also open to off-campus hiring, all you have to do is simply fill in the online application to kick the process off. ThoughtWorks provides graduates with one of the easiest transition routes from being a college grad to being a professional. Our working environment is relaxed and we have loads of fun on projects and as a company. So it still feels like college if software is your passion.

Our graduate hiring process includes a couple of written assessments to test your logic and approach to problem solving. Once through these, shortlisted candidates applying for developer positions are sent a couple of simple coding problems. We typically give a full day to complete these. If your code meets our standards then we call you in for office interviews and, time-permitting, you may be asked to refactor your code with one of our developers.

For graduates applying for positions of Quality Analyst or Business Analyst; relax, we won't ask you to code! If you are shortlisted beyond the logic assessments, we will call you for office interviews.

For all positions there are at least a two rounds of panel interviews. Our interviewers make it a point to check your soft skills, analytical skills and cultural fit. It's your best chance to impress us by being yourself.

This process is standard but from time-to-time we may just add or remove a twist to it here or there. After all, you are going to be a future consultant and can we be blamed for checking your response to unexpected situations?...We don't think so!
