ThoughtWorks supports JavaDay Turin 2007

03 October 2007 - ThoughtWorks is delighted to announce our support of the Javaday Turin. Javaday is a free, one day event which is organised by the Italian Java User Groups, the community of Java Italian Portal and the Java Italian Association. Its aim is to reach out to the technical communities in areas often overlooked by larger events, and promote the use and best practices of Java there.

Antonio Terreno, ThoughtWorks' developer based in London, is one of the primary organizers, and will be giving the event's keynote talk as well as presenting on Domain Driven Design.

This is the event's second year, and following outstanding feedback from last year in Turin, and other cities, the committee are expecting to attract around 200 delegates.

Antonio explains the founding principles behind the event: "Javaday is a unique combination: every single stage is a meeting of technology, local (non-profit making) institutions, developers and local companies. The relaxed environment allows great networking, knowledge sharing opportunities, and insight into the new opportunities offered by the Java Platform. I'm very excited to be involved and to be able to do my part in promoting Java across Europe."

Javaday will be at the University of Turin, on Saturday the 20th of October
